Throughout 70 years of operation, our holistic approach to tackling the multi-dimensional nature of poverty includes providing access to free primary health care, livelihood opportunities, relief and social services and shelter and environmental health. We particularly focus on the development and self-reliance of less-advantaged members of the Palestine refugee community- especially women, children, people with disabilities and the elderly. The financial crisis facing UNRWA today is threatening to unravel the fabric of life that refugee communities have woven over the past seven decades with the help of innovative, effective, efficient and transformative UNRWA service delivery.
